We are closely monitoring the Iron Fire burning in Juab and Tooele Counties as well as the Cottonwood Fire burning in the Fishlake National Forest near Beaver and Piute Counties. While these fires have prompted mandatory evacuations for nearby areas, the majority of Utah’s recreational areas, state parks, and national parks remain open and ready to welcome patrons.

Starting June 7, 2026, the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway from Canyon Junction to the East Entrance, not just the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel, has strict vehicle restrictions on all large vehicles. Make sure you understand the tunnel and highway requirements as you plan your trip. You may need to add extra drive time, adjust your itinerary and route, or change your mode of transportation.
