Board and Committees
The Utah Board of Tourism Development has 15 members, appointed by the governor, who represent all geographic areas, and ownership or executive management of tourism-related industries. The board members advise the Utah Office of Tourism on planning, policies, and strategies, as well as trends and opportunities for tourism development that may exist in various areas of the state. They also approve the Utah Film Commission incentive applications
The board generally meets on the second Friday of the month at various locations around the state, with alternating virtual meetings. Board meetings follow Utah's public meeting policy.
