The Utah State Scenic Byway Program is a statewide partnership intended to provide educational, economic, and recreational benefits to travelers and Utah citizens through the unique designation of identifying the most outstanding tourism routes and transportation corridors in Utah.

UTAH ROURISM COMMITTEE
The mission of the Utah Rourism Committee is to aid rural Utah in their economic development efforts. Goals include: Improve the visitor experience, leading to more spending and tax revenues; Enhance the recreation and support service infrastructure in emerging, rural tourism destinations; and Increase support services, capacity and extend busy season for developed gateway communities as tourism is the most practical way to gain additional revenues without the pursuit of further industrialization and jeopardizing rural living, we aim to assist rural Utah in the development of improvements and strengthening infrastructure, financing, marketing, and strategy for each county.

TRAVEL TRADE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Travel Trade Advisory Committee is tasked with the development of an annual Strategic Travel Trade Plan for the Utah Office of Tourism, Film and Global Branding. Discussions include but are not limited to: International market prioritization, fund allocation, multi-channel marketing diversification, in-market representative contracts and inclusions and familiarization tour and trade show scheduling. The committee is chaired by Becky Johnson, Senior Global Manager.

DOMESTIC PUBLIC RELATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The goals and objectives of the Domestic Public Relations Advisory Committee are to secure editorial coverage in targeted publications reinforcing positive attributes of travel within Utah and promoting Utah’s activities and destinations. Stepping stones to achieve ultimate goal are: Create an inspiring, entertaining and ever-growing body of Utah travel content, distributed among multiple mediums; Create a forum to keep communication lines open between UOT and DMOs/CVBs. Collaborate and brainstorm ideas to attract media attention, use UOT as a resource for public relations; and Create a cohesive travel voice for Utah’s tourism PR.
WELCOME CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Welcome Center Advisory Committee aims its work at developing strategic initiatives at each of the six Utah Office of Tourism-run Welcome Centers statewide. Committee responsibilities include visitation analysis, interpretive displays and updates, mechanisms to enhance the visitor experience and survey/data collection in an effort to quantify visitation to, and in, Utah. The committee is chaired by John Holland, Scenic Byway 12 Coordinator and UOT Board Member.
