Partner Highlights Blog: Grand County
Members of our CaPR and Marketing teams recently had the unique opportunity to be hosted by Grand County during a two-day collaborative agency meetup. Mick and Ali from the Moab Utah Office of Tourism have been hard at work refreshing their tourism efforts, recently onboarding new Media, Public Relations, and Branding agencies. Our visit focused on aligning agency visions, connecting with community partners, and experiencing firsthand what Moab offers its visitors.
Our meetings began with a delicious lunch at the local Asian-fusion favorite, 98 Center, followed by a presentation on how our various agency efforts fit into the future of Moab’s tourism landscape. We topped off the evening with hors d'oeuvres at Josie Wyatt’s Grille. This event was open to the public, allowing us to discuss tourism directly with the community and gain a deeper understanding of stakeholder perspectives. We also had the valuable chance to meet with the Moab Tourism Advisory Board (MTAB).
Beyond the boardroom, Grand County took us to explore breathtaking views in Canyonlands National Park with Navtec Expeditions. The guides' knowledge and excitement for their “backyard” were contagious as we visited petroglyph sites, Fossil Point, the White Rim, Musselman Arch, and Shafer Trail. Some team members even embarked on a “side quest” with local partners to answer the age-old question: “If your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?” At the Moab Rope Swing, the answer was a resounding “Yes!” To cap it all off, the Northern Lights illuminated the sky, ending the trip with awe-inspiring wonder.
We also maximized our time in the community by participating in a roundtable presentation at the Utah Guides and Outfitters Annual Meeting. This allowed us to share resources, better understand the industry sector, and discuss future communications.
The week was packed, and we can’t thank Grand County enough for connecting and involving us in your efforts to make tourism in Moab a collaborative, community-led, and memorable experience!
