The "1995-97 Transient Room Tax Distributions by County" study is a periodic study conducted by the Utah Division of Travel Development to provide information on the types of programs that are funded on a county basis by the state's most important tourism tax, the transient room tax. This survey provides the second comprehensive survey of transient room tax in the state, four years after the first one was initiated in 1993. It is hoped that a periodic survey of county tourism spending will improve communications and understanding about tourism development statewide.
