From the Managing Director   Leigh von der Esch
Leigh von der EschThe Governor's Vision Statement outlines: "Utah will lead the nation as the best performing economy and be recognized as a premier global business destination." The accolades received over the past 18 months for properties, locations, and locally-made movies are keeping us on pace to achieve the Governor's vision. From the opening of properties such as the St. Regis Deer Valley, the Waldorf Astoria at Canyons Resort, and Amangiri in southern Utah - to the most recent opening of The Montage Deer Valley; global brands and Utah are becoming more and more synonymous.
Southern Utah was this week named Lonely Planet's ‘destination to visit in 2011,’ and the highly-acclaimed movie ‘127 Hours,’ now being shown internationally, is generating even more interest in our gorgeous red rock country! ‘Travel and Leisure’ just named Stein Erickson Lodge and the Grand America Hotel among the 500 best for 2011, and Deer Valley was named best ski resort in North America once again! We truly have a lot to be proud of.
So here's to a great 2011 and thanks for all you do!
