UOT
Hosts International 'Super FAM'
Utah Office of Tourism conducted a ‘SUPER
FAM’ (familiarization tour) October 2-9,
hosting nearly 30 representatives from Germany,
France, United Kingdom, USA, Japan, and Canada.
The idea behind the ‘SUPER FAM’ is to consolidate
both budgets and time to give the state valuable
exposure to international/domestic media/trade
organizations via one major Utah visit. This
approach lessens the frequency of FAMs and
reduces the overall budgetary commitment
of all partner organizations.

Age: Recovery in Full-Swing With Online
Advertising
The Interactive Advertising Bureau confirmed
today what many, at least anecdotally, thought
to be true: The online ad recovery is in
full-swing, with first-half revenues up 11.9%
over the same period of 2009.
2009 offers some easy comparisons, but with
$12.13 billion spent across search and display
advertising in the U.S., it was the biggest
six-month total of online ad spending on
record, surpassing the second half of 2008.
