TRAVELER july/august Utah's Pinnacle Park Bryce Canyon's spindly rock formations are seen from all over the national park. You can see them from walking or hiking trails or drive through the park over two days or take a free shuttle tour. Thoroughly Modern Mormons Then and Now is Salt Lake City - although the buildings on Temple Square haven't changed in several decades, there are a few nearby buildings that adopted a rather contemporary aesthetic. The 1.4 million-square foot Conference Center has a terraced roof with pines and cascading water. A few blocks away is the secular gem, the City Library, with it's five-story curved glass wall with atrium bridges and glass elevators.
