For the convenience of visitors traveling the state by vehicle or airport, Utah operates six gateway welcome centers located at freeway/highway state borders and the Utah Office of Tourism headquarters at Council Hall in Salt Lake City. All centers offer friendly travel consultants providing free travel information, maps, brochures, and travel guides. Restrooms, vending, and parking areas are located on-site, and most offer free Wi-Fi Internet.

"Welcome to Utah" Border Sign Initiative In June 2010, the Utah Office of Tourism and Utah Department of Transportation replaced 35 welcome signs at all freeway/highway border crossings and Utah Welcome Centers. Taking a novel approach, seven design elements were utilized to reflect the various geographic regions of the state.
