Statewide

County tourism offices are located across the state to provide detailed information on destinations, attractions, and events. They produce and distribute promotional materials for their areas and are the best sources for obtaining specific and timely information prior to, or during your Utah Vacation. The Travel Region offices are listed here in order of their location in the state. The state has been split up into 3 areas, northern, central and southern.

Northern

Northern Utah is as different from its Central and Southern cousins as snow from slickrock, as alpine forest from desert buttes and mesas, as metropolitan hub from widespread open spaces.  Even within the northern section alone, variety abounds-from its western salt flats to population centers to world-class ski and summer resorts to eastern fossil beds - with so much more in-between.

Central

Central Utah is so much more than a transitional stretch of land between the alpine forest of the north and th redrock canyons of the south.  It is a vast expanse of mountain, plateau and high desert, ideal for the traveler in search of true solitude.  It is an area rich in natural resources; from vast coalfields, to hunting and fishing meccas, to rich farmlands, to mystical deserts.

Southern

An ancient spirit inhabits southern Utah.  It is evident in the cataclysmic forces that have thrust the earth up into snow-capped mountains, in the towering fins of ruddy sandstone cut by the patient forces of erosion into bridges, arches, deep canyons, and strange "hoo-doos" of stone; in dramatic faults where the earth jumbles and twists, contrasting with gentile, rolling hummocks of "slickrock."
