With the help of one-time appropriated dollars from the State Legislature, the Travel Council was able to once again capitalize on the emotions of the Games and extend our media presence by airing a revised version of the television ad that ran during the Games. In order to reach the maximum amount of people, the Travel Council decided to advertise during the next big television event, the 2002 Academy Awards, as the kick-off point for this campaign.
The print campaign that appeared after the Games also played on the emotion of the Games and used the concept "Where does Olympic snow go when it melts?" to educate people to all the year-round activities Utah has to offer and entice them to visit the state.
